Franchise Opportunities
MummyYoga is an inclusive, flexible and fulfilling franchise business designed to give our community of soon-to-be and new parents an evidence-based, positive and supportive environment to discover their own path into parenting.
MummyYoga was founded in 2015 by Dr. Rehana Jawadwala and is going from strength to strength; from a small side project to a demanding day-job to a purposeful, all-consuming mission in 2019, the journey so far has been the most enriching experience. We are now ready to share our success with likeminded, driven people who share our passion and commitment to empower mothers and their families as they transition into becoming parents.
We’re proud to say our unique Perinatal Yoga Teacher Training programme is fully accredited programme by FEDANT and insured by Balens. This training incorporates the world’s first accredited babywearing yoga teacher training.
Our empowering franchise model offers excellent earning potential and provides you with everything you need to run a successful business. We have continuously innovated our yoga classes, workshops and retreats to reflect the current needs of mothers. These continual improvements to our services is what makes us a standout brand in the world of fertility, pregnancy and postnatal yoga.
MummyYoga provides a strong brand and services you can be proud to be a part of and turn your energy and enthusiasm for parenting, wellness and yoga into a fantastic career, allowing you to love what you do, while earning a great income.
What is included in a MummyYoga Franchise
Franchising is a well-established and powerful business model — where budding entrepreneurs can buy into an existing, proven brand to create their own business. MummyYoga franchises are independent businesses, supported by the MummyYoga brand and team and benefit from our 20 years of experience in the field of health and wellness.
In the past four years we have made some big and expensive mistakes as a startup and we share these learnings with you so that your success trajectory has a sharper growth. With our clear commitment to see you succeed means we have a business support structure that is second to none. We operate in small teams and do not set any limits to the help we provide our franchisees.
Our franchise model is designed to provide the maximum support possible to our franchisees. Franchisees get support with business planning, a complete training package, covering all necessary areas for setting-up and running a MummyYoga Franchise and then on-hand support throughout the launch process. Critically, our Perinatal Yoga Teacher Training Diploma is the first of its kind where you and your teachers will experience industry leading curriculum incorporating physiology, anatomy and the principles of midwifery together like no training programme before. This level of expertise is what we believe truly sets MummyYoga offerings and standards above other local providers.
Scale of the Opportunity
Between the decade of 2016-26, 7.7 million babies will be born in the UK (ONS, Population statistics, Oct 2017). There were 657,076 live births in England and Wales in 2018 alone (Office for National Statistics, Aug 2019).
These figures indicate that in the foreseeable future the demand for birth related services and products will be robust. Moreover, the continual policy drive to improve maternity services particularly care within the community settings will mean that services that improve women’s confidence in their ability to birth and parent will be in great demand. Thus as MummyYoga matures into a recognisable brand, we are confident that we will be well placed to serve a market ripe for its core offerings.
With consumer demand for wellness services and products higher than ever, MummyYoga will be well placed in the coming years to attend to this increasing demand for a more involved birthing and parenting solution that many parents will seek as part of their new lifestyle and personal choices.
The global wellness market is now worth $3.4 trillion, making it nearly three times larger than the $1 trillion* worldwide pharmaceutical industry (Global Wellness Institute, 2014).
In the UK the healthcare, wellness and fitness sector alone is forecast to spend approximately £209 billion by 2020 (Capture the growth, Price Water Cooper, Feb 2016). Pilates and Yoga industries have been forecasted to see a 17% rise from the current £760 million rising to £890 million by 2020 (CWP, 2016).
Spa Finder (2016) predicts wellness for children will be the biggest growth factor in the spa and wellness industry for years to come. Healthy eating, yoga and meditation are the sectors that are most likely to increase. This will indeed start from the word go from when women will consider having children and into their pregnancy and beyond.
Femtech is a growing trend and in 2017, more than 54,000 people underwent around 75,000 fertility treatments, with IVF treatment cycles increasing by 2.5% since 2016 and resulting in over 20,500 babies being born. The confidence in fertility treatments is ever increasing, with the procedure becoming safer and more successful than ever. MummyYoga’s bespoke services and deep understanding of this demographic places us perfectly to cater to the growing demands in this niche sector.
